Kilmichael Rovers u14s have reached this year's Shield Final thanks to a hard fought 4-3 win over Clon Celtic at Klondyke Park.
Rovers started well and took the lead within 10 mins when Finbarr O'Riordan was fouled inside the box and Owen O'Callaghan tucked the resultant penalty away.
The lead did not last long as a good move by Clon ended with a side foot past a stranded Cathal Foley in Rovers goal.
Undaunted, Rovers continued to attack and some neat play between Fionn Burgoyne and Rory Eklof saw the former through on goal and he coolly slotted home to re-take the lead.
Things got even better before half time as Rory Eklof scored directly from a corner, the ball slipping under the keeper's body at the near post.
Clon came out guns blazing in the second half and soon had one back due to sloppy defending.
The sides were level when a corner was blasted in from close range for Clon.
Rovers didn't wilt under the pressure and after Daire Murphy-O'Brien was fouled in possession on right hand edge of box, Rory Eklof stepped up to float a peach of a goal into the roof of the net, despite three defenders on the line.
It turned out to be the winner as Rovers soaked up wave after wave of Clon attacks in the remaining few minutes.
A Shield final awaits and it is well deserved. C'mon the Rovers!
